James D MacPhee Leadership Development Fund

In 2021 the CBM created the James D. MacPhee Leadership Development Fund to honor Jim and help develop the next generation of community bankers . Thanks to generous donations from many banks, associates and individuals, the fund was established to develop future community bank leaders who share the same passion for community banking Jim had. Those initial funds were used to create a dedicated training space at the CBM office and provide leadership development awards to deserving community bankers over the past four years.

Since inception, the James D. MacPhee Leadership Development fund has provided awards to 35 Michigan community bankers, totaling more than $48,000!

Many bankers and associates have reached out expressing interest in continuing to donate to the MacPhee Leadership Development Fund - helping to further shape community bankers in our great state. The CBM wanted to provide an opportunity to our members and partners to voluntarily donate.
