Community Banking Initiatives

Mission

Community Banking Initiatives (CBI) was formed to enable and equip independent community banking associations and community banks with access to industry-leading programs and partners. This is accomplished by developing relationships and partnerships with like minded industry stakeholders that are committed to serving and advocating for the community banking industry.

  • Achieve financial strength through community pricing
  • Reduction in operating expenses for community banks through aggregated services
  • Increase non-interest income through aggregated services

CBI Committee

CBI is co-managed by Aza Bittinger, CBAO and Kate Angles, CBM.  Our annual goals and mission reinforcement is directed by a committee comprised of banking executives from both Michigan and Ohio.  Additional participating states taking advantage of CBI developed partnerships include Georgia, South Carolina, and California.
