New for 2027!

Our Mission Statement:

To strengthen and restore Michigan communities in times of crisis by mobilizing the compassion and resources of community banks to provide timely financial support after natural disasters, community tragedies, and other hardships—helping neighbors recover, rebuild, and move forward with hope.

What We Do and Why It Matters:

Community banks are the lifeblood of the communities they serve. When tragedy strikes, whether it’s a natural disaster, act of violence or unforeseen circumstance, it is important to do whatever possible to restore order. The Community Bankers Foundation of Michigan (CBFM) was established by community bankers to provide financial support to the communities they love. As a 501 (c)3 organization, CBFM offers the opportunity for banks, bankers and others to contribute tax deductible funds, so they are available when a tragedy strikes. The Community Bankers of Michigan’s affiliation with the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) offers the potential for matching funds from a national organization like ICBA, among others, to amplify the CBFM’s financial impact during more widespread events. You never know when a tragedy will strike the community you love.

What You Can Do:

Consider making a tax deductible contribution today to help those in need tomorrow. You never know when a disaster will strike your community and we want to be there to help if it does. When donating to CBFM, please consider whether your company offers a matching gift program.
